Charitable Monday

Where there is charity and wisdom, there is neither fear nor ignorance. ~Francis of Assisi

I am not a fan of shopping on a Thursday in July so there is no way you will ever get me to a mall on a day known  as ” BLACK FRIDAY”.

No thanks.

I stayed home with a great cup of tea.

Today is Cyber Monday but in my world I have deemed in Charitable Monday– a day where we focus on using our resources for good.

This Charitable Monday Pamela Slim and I are proud to contribute our Partnership Playbook program to a very cool bundle of products.

How is this helping someone?

$5 of each $97 package and $25 of each $497 package will be donated to WASI (Women of the Americas Sustainability Initiative). They teach sustainable building techniques (mostly clay building techniques) to women community leaders across the globe. These women then go back to their countries to build low-income, sustainable housing, schools, orphanages, and other community building.

WASI is a program of  Kleiwerks International.

By the numbers: Since 2001, Kleiwerks International has…

• Worked in over 35 countries
• Trained 3,639 program graduates
• Taught 12,000 people
• Sponsored 187 educational programs
• Built 40+ community projects and centers
• Collaborated with a consortium of specialists who have collectively worked in 52+ countries and offer 400+ years of experience
• Directly helped to initiate 3 regional movements in Southeast Asia, South America, and the United States

I volunteers with this organization– they are locally based in Asheville, (although the train women internationally).

Since last year, Only72 sales have donated over $40,000 to charities, including Charity: Water, Kiva, and The Kidney Foundation.”

“Up to $25 of each package sold this week will be donated to WASI, which helps train international women leaders on sustainable building techniques across the globe.”

Do something good for your business and help women across the world.

We belong to each other

Tuesday’s result was a gut punch. For many reasons, but mainly because so many of us desperately want something better, something beautiful and just. Because so many of us and our ancestors have worked tirelessly to dream it, to build it. We know our opponent, we know...
